Parenting Garden Party

Bring your friends together in the garden! In the 'old days' parents had many opportunities to share parenting tales and woes. Now, we mostly parent in isolation. Gather your friends to share their stories and wisdom with Janet and have your specific parenting questions answered. Dads have much less opportunity to chat about their joys and challenges and they, especially, appreciate this opportunity to learn and share. As host, you receive one hour of individual time with Janet! Popular, fun and inexpensive!

Temperaments Alive!

Janet joins Marion Van Namen, Music Therapist, to present a lively and dynamic workshop exploring the Four Temperaments. First detailed by Hippocrates in ancient Greece, this method of understanding ourselves and our fellow human beings continues to be the easiest to learn and offer the most insights. Experience the Temperaments through story, guided artistic exercises, and music.

When you know what you believe about yourself as a parent you've taken the first step towards a deeper connection with yourself and your family. You'll learn how language can support positive change in your life. You'll learn practical techniques you can use immediately!

Class Series

Learn the magic! Feel confident and secure in your parenting decisions when you discover what you believe about being a parent. Because beliefs are the bedrock of our decisions, discovering your deeply held beliefs will enable you to trust your intuition about what is right for your family. Discover how to communicate more effectively, learning how to create rapport and understanding how body language, voice tone, and words affect each conversation. An initial exploration of the Four Temperaments will help you to honor the unique qualities each of you contributes to your family. When we no longer take language for granted we can shift into artful expressions of positive possibility. Learning practical techniques with language will liberate you from old patterns of speaking and responding. When you change the way you think and speak, you will notice that those around you are changing, too!

This four-week journey will lead you through story, discussion, lecture and self-reflection, as your new way of parenting unfolds. In two hours each week, you will discover new confidence, new capabilities and a deep trust in yourself. At last, you will be nurturing yourself and your family in a way you had only imagined until now.

Working with Parents - For Waldorf Teachers

Mentoring

Individual mentoring to meet specific teacher needs. Together, we create an action plan of areas you would like to develop. Mentoring includes Waldorf 1st-8th curriculum development, classroom management, non-verbal communication, and self-care.

For Schools

Having a trained, outside observer to evaluate your teachers brings a perspective and level of confidentiality that isn't possible when schools self-evaluate. Training in communication skills and classroom management can help teachers be more effective. Janet will create trainings to meet your specific faculty needs.
